The Turkish president also announces his plan to reciprocate with a visit to Israel, confirming previous reports by Israeli media

Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu  could visit Turkiye as early as October or November, according to Reuters.

Erdoğan  mentioned that he would reciprocate with a visit to Israel after Netanyahu’s Netanyahu’s trip.  Israel’s  Channel 12 news earlier reported that the Turkish president would visit on the October 29.

As part of the Israeli media report, Erdoğan was interested in marking the 100-year anniversary of the Turkish Republic, on October 29, by praying at the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

Netanyahu and Erdoğan met last week for the first time in person on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York.

Netanyahu told Erdoğan that “our ties are improving,” and the two leaders agreed to continue advancing bilateral relations in trade, economic matters and energy, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

During the discussion held at Turkish House, a 36-floor skyscraper located across from U.N. headquarters, the two men also talked about the U.S.-led effort to forge an agreement to normalize relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia, among other regional and international issues.
