NICE— “I condemn these intolerable acts,” said Christian Estrosi. Mayor of the French city of Nice, after a man shouting threats and antisemitic slurs tried to break into a Jewish school in this southern France city. “I cannot accept the rise of anti-Semitism in our country,” he added.
The man was arrested by police after a security guard at the Or Torah school confronted him and sounded an alarm.
The children were immediately put in security and that the agents of the municipal police as well as national “quickly intervened,’’ said the Mayor.
‘’Such acts cannot be committed within our Republic, which is why I expect justice the greatest severity,’’ said Estrosi, praising the professionalism of the agents and the coolness and courage of the guardian.
