European Parliament Pqresident Roberta Metsola will lead members of the Parliament and staff on Wednesday in a solemn moment to remember victims of the terrorist attacks in Israel over the weekend, the EU parliament announced.
It will take place on the Esplanade, in front of the European Parliament in Brussels.
“The horrific terrorist attacks in Israel over the weekend have seen more than 1,000 people murdered, thousands injured and close to 100 women, children and men still held hostage”, said President Metsola in a message to members and staff.
‘’This will be a solemn moment to remember all the victims, to show solidarity with all those targeted and to call for the immediate release of all hostages”, she added.
“Your presence there will help to reiterate our Parliament’s strong position against terrorism”, she said.
