Allesandro Parini, a lawyer from Rome, had arrived in Israel for holidays on the eve of the terrorist attack.
The attack took place on Tel Aviv’s boardwalk, known as the ‘tayelet’, near the Charles Clore park.
Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed her solidarity with Israel following what she called the “cowardly attack” in Tel Aviv on Friday night in which a 35-year-old Italian national, Allesandro Parini, was killed in a car ramming terrorist attack by an Arab-Israeli.
At least seven others were injured, including tourists. The attack took place on Tel Aviv’s board walk, known as the ‘tayelet’, near the Charles Clore park, not far from Jaffa.
“Deep sorrow and condolences for the death of one of our nationals, Alessandro Parini, in the terrorist attack that took place in the evening in Tel Aviv. Condolences to the victim’s family, to the wounded and solidarity with the State of Israel for the cowardly attack that hit him,” Meloni wrote on Twitter.
Meloni said her government is in contact with Israeli authorities about the wounded victims, some of whom are also Italian nationals.
Allesandro Parini, a lawyer from Rome, had arrived in Israel for holidays on the eve of the terrorist attack. He graduated with honors from a prestigious university, Luiss Guido Carli, won with a thesis in administrative and tax law.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror groups rejoiced at his death. “A high-level operation,” they say.
Ichilov hospital in Tel Aviv said it had received three wounded Britons and one Italian.
The terrorist was killed by a police officer who was in the vicinity of the incident.
In a separate incident also on Friday, two British-Israeli women were shot to death in the Jordan Valley and their mother left critically wounded.
The current round of violence commenced when Palestinian terrorists fired an unusually large rocket barrage at Israel from southern Lebanon on Thursday — some of the heaviest and most serious cross-border violence since Israel’s 2006 war with Lebanon’s Hezbollah militants — as well as from Gaza.
