A kosher restaurant in the 19th district of Paris was the target of ransacking and anti-Semitic tags during the night of Thursday to Friday.

The inscriptions spray painted on the walls of the Mac Queen hamburger restaurant on rue Manin  included “Hitler was right,” “Jewish homos,” ‘’dirty Jews’’, “Jews get out” and “Free Palestine.” Swastikas were also discovered on the ground, on the walls or on the tables.

The Paris public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation for “anti-Semitic degradations” and entrusted the investigation to the 2nd district of the Paris judicial police. So far, no suspect has been arrested.

According to a police source, the perpetrators broke into this kosher fast food kosher during the night by breaking the barrel of the iron curtain before ransacking the premises – the images show broken windows, broken chairs in the restaurant room. The owner discovered the degradations Friday morning while going to open the restaurant.

French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin  denounced the incident. Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo wrote on Twitter: “I condemn with the utmost firmness this hateful act of vandalism. The Jewish community has my full support. We will not tolerate this.”
