PARIS—”More than ever, mobilization and vigilance must be increased to the level of this hatred against Jews throughout Europe and against the values of democracy,’’ said B’nai B’rith Europe after the desecration of the Jewish Cemetery of Herrlisheim, a small town near Strasbourg, in eastern France.
B’nai B’rith Europe President, Serge Dahan expressed ‘’outrage and condemned with anger and emotion this evil act and this insult to memory.’’
37 tombs were desecrated as well as the Shoah Martyrs Monument.
‘’B’nai B’rith Europe calls on the French Government that everything be done so to ensure the perpetrators are apprehended as soon as possible and sentenced proportionally to their acts,’’, the Jewish organization said.
