Netanyahu advances construction of hundreds of housing units in Judea and Samaria

The settlement of Tal Menashe in northern Samaria was home to Esther Horgen, the 52-year-old mother of six killed on Dec. 21 by a Palestinian terrorist while she was jogging in the forest near her house.

The building plan includes more than 100 additional units in Tal Menashe, home of the late Esther Horgen, murdered last month by a Palestinian terrorist.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday gave the order to advance construction on hundreds of housing units in Judea and Samaria, according to a statement from his office.

These include more than 100 units in Tal Menashe and more than 200 units in Nofei Nehemia/Rehelim. Netanyahu also directed that construction of approximately 400 additional units in Beit El, Evyatar, Shavei Shomron, Oranit, the Barkan Industrial Zone, Karnei Shomron and Givat Ze’ev be submitted for approval by the [Civil Administration’s] Higher Planning Committee at its next meeting.

Netanyahu’s move to further the construction projects comes nine days before U.S. President-elect Joe Biden’s Jan. 20 inauguration.
