In Germany, more than 1,000 people participated in rally calling for re-establishing the caliphate

According to the German authorities, the demonstration was organized by people close to an organization called “Muslim Interactive,” an extremist group which is said to reject democracy and is calling for the introduction of Sharia law.

German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser vowed to take “tough action against Islamist terror propaganda and hatred against Jews.”

More than 1,000 people participated in a demonstration in Hamburg, in northern Germany, on Saturday, holding up posters with slogans like “caliphate is the solution” and calling for the introduction of Sharia law.

According to the German authorities, the demonstration was organized by people close to an organization called “Muslim Interactive,” an extremist group which is said to reject democracy.

In a video posted on X, the crowd can be seen responding to shouts of ‘Takbir’ with “Allahu Akbar.” The video also shows the mob shouting part of the Shahada in Arabic, “There’s no God but God.”

One demonstrator held a placard that read “Caliphate is the solution,” while others held signs with the inscription “Gaza has won the info war.”

Daily newspaper Die Welt wrote that according to the Hamburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the group ‘’Muslim Interactive’’ is an extremist Islamist organization affiliated with the Hizb ut-Tahrir, a pan-Islamist, fundamentalist political organization that has for the purpose of the re-establishment of a caliphate.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said there must be “consequences” following the rally.

“It is quite clear that all Islamist activities must be tackled using the possibilities and options of our constitutional state,” he said.

“I believe that we must therefore also take a close look at the specific consequences to be taken from what we have seen there. Criminal acts must be prosecuted.”

German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser vowed to take “tough action against Islamist terror propaganda and hatred against Jews.”

“If you want a caliphate,” she added, “you’ve come to the wrong place in Germany.”
