French President Emmanuel Macron condemned “in the strongest terms” the “murderous attacks” that took place Tuesday in Beni Brak, near Tel Aviv.

“Terrorism has once again struck Israel,” tweeted the President Tuesday evening. “My thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones. Israel can count on France’s support and my total commitment in the fight against this scourge.”

He also posted the message on his Facebook account in Hebrew.

“All those who have responsibility and influence must clearly condemn these acts of violence in order to avoid a new escalation of violence,” said a spokesman for the German Foreign Ministry, calling for “avoiding a spiral of violence during the upcoming holidays for Jews, Muslims and Christians.

“Such acts of violence can never be justified and must be condemned by all,” said UN chief Antonio Guterres, according to a statement from his spokesman.

The head of U.S. diplomacy, Antony Blinken, for his part, denounced “unacceptable violence. Israelis, like all people around the world, should be able to live in peace and without fear.

Last night’s terrorist was a 27-year-old Palestinian from Yaabad, near Jenin, who entered Israel illegally. He opened fire indiscriminately. He murdered two people who were sitting nearby at a local grocery store, stopped a passing car and shot the driver at point-blank range and continued to fire. Two of the victims were residents of the city of Bnei Brak, one was an Israeli-Arab police officer, and two others were Ukrainian citizens.
