Facebook announced Monday that it has permanently banned French controversial comedian Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala from Facebook and Instagram for “content mocking the victims of the Shoah” and “using dehumanizing terms against Jews”.
“In accordance with our policy on dangerous individuals and organizations, we have permanently banned Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala from Facebook and Instagram. Banning a person permanently from our services is a decision that we always weigh. with attention, but individuals and organizations who attack others on the basis of who they are have no place on Facebook or Instagram, “said a Facebook spokesperson.
Dieudonné has received multiple convictions for incitement to hatred and antisemitic remarks.
