‘’Terrorist organisations are successful in promoting their narrative at the highest levels of the EU decision’

IDF reserve soliders described to the European Parliament the cynical use made by Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups, of their civilian population as human shields.

BRUSSELS—‘’There is a connection between a growing anti-Semitic attitude within the EU and Hamas or Hezbollah’s hybrid tactics of warfare,’’ said Member of the European Parliament Fulvio Martusciello, who chairs the parliament’s delegation for relations with Israel.

The Italian MEP, who chairs the European Parliament delegation for relations with Israel. spoke at an event in the parliament where serving IDF reserve soldiers described the cynical use made by Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups, of their civilian population as human shields to attack Israel.

The soldiers are part of  ”My Truth,” an organisation  of IDF reserve soldiers who want to provide their testimonies and share their stories.

“A terrorist who throws a grenade under the cover of small children, or women who stand in the line of fire to absorb the fire themselves are few examples of the human rights violations committed by the terror organizations,” explained Avihai Shorshan, My Truth’s director.

“We want to tell the whole world who are the real war criminals in this conflict. We must put an end to the slanders and lies being levelled against our soldiers,’’ he added.

‘’Terrorist organisations are successful in promoting their narrative at the highest levels of the EU decision. But also among EU citizens,’’ deplored Fulvio Martusciello.

Last year, the  European Parliament passed a resolution that denounced – for the first time – Hamas as ‘’a terrorist group that uses human shields, calls for Israel’s destruction and seems to aim at escalating tensions” at the Gaza-Israel border.
